Adding in a Reoccurring Lease charge

Reoccurring lease charges such as rent should automatically be added to a resident's profile after a lease agreement has been finalized. Sometimes errors can occur and you may be in a situation where you need to manually add in the charges. To add in a reoccurring charge for a resident you will want to navigate to Yardi Voyager. Find the resident and go to their profile. Click on the "Lease Charges" tab, alternatively, you can also go to the top tab that says "Data" and click on "Lease Charges".

Then click on the icon that looks like a piece of paper.

A pop-up will appear to create a lease charge. You will need to enter in the charge code (rent, petrent, storage, etc.), the amount, and the date the charge started. Reoccurring rent charges should have a start date as the 1st of the month unless the charge is for a new move-in or a new rentable item which should calculate as a prorated amount.

Click  "submit". The charge should then appear under the lease charges tab on the resident's profile. If the charge started from a previous date (not today), you will want to double-check the resident's ledger and make any necessary adjustments.
