Internal Transfer & Promotion Process

 

  • Portfolio Manager identifies hiring need.
  • New Hire Request Form gets emailed to Recruiter.
  • Recruiter posts open position.
  • Position is listed in the Weekly Wrap Newsletter distributed on Friday’s.
  • If an internal employee is interested, they fill out the Internal Application Form
  • Internal applicant emails the Internal Application Form to their Supervisor.
  • Supervisor adds their comments and discusses this feedback with the internal applicant.
  • Supervisor emails the completed Internal Application Form to their Portfolio Manager and Recruiter.
  • Recruiter emails the Internal Application Form to the Portfolio Manager of the hiring position.
  • If internal applicant is qualified, Recruiter schedules interview and emails Outlook calendar invites.
  • Interview(s) are conducted from the site team or Portfolio Manager.
  • Hiring decision is communicated from Portfolio Manager or Property Manager to the Recruiter.
  • If internal applicant was selected for transfer of communities, Recruiter extends the news by phone and if requested by the Portfolio Manager, will follow it up with an offer letter.
  • If internal applicant was selected for promotion, Recruiter extends the news by phone and follows it up with an offer letter.
  • Recruiter emails the internal applicant’s current Property Manager and Portfolio Manager on the their decision.
  • New Property Manager or Portfolio Manager completes an Employee Action Form (EAF) with the internal applicant to finalize the transfer or promotion, and emails it to Human Resources.
